The Beacon, for veteran players, is undoubtedly familiar with this phenomenon-level blockchain game that emerged at the end of 2022. This old project, long dormant in the eyes of chain gaming enthusiasts, might prompt the first reaction: "It's still alive?"
After all, even the platform it once resided on—Treasure DAO—announced a full termination of its game development stack and publishing operations in April last year, shifting focus toward AI transformation. The previous blockchain game to capture market attention was Nexon’s blockchain version of MapleStory, released a year ago from a traditional gaming giant.
Yet here comes this veteran title, finally launching its token after four years. And during the first week of its final pre-token event, "Season 1," player deposits surpassed $460,000.
In today’s lethargic market environment and amid near-total neglect of blockchain games, how did The Beacon manage this?
As before, one core gameplay element remains “dungeon crawling,” though the mechanics have evolved.
First, entering the daily dungeon consumes stamina—minimum 20 points per run, maximum 1,000. A 1,000-point run yields rewards 50 times greater than a 20-point run upon completion. Additionally, completing the dungeon grants a 1.5x multiplier bonus. If players fail and perish within the dungeon, they only receive the reward accumulated at the time of death.

Spending $19.99 to unlock a Premium membership is required to access a single-run stamina consumption of 1,000 points. In-game, players can spend real money to purchase items that increase their stamina cap. Purchasing the top-tier $499.99 bundle can raise the stamina cap beyond 4,000 points. Without a Premium membership, players are limited to 20 stamina per run, requiring 200 runs per day. For average players, clearing one dungeon may take around 10 minutes—enough to make anyone nauseous.
Thus, acquiring a Premium membership has become a hard prerequisite for participating in Season 1 and earning $BCN tokens. Beyond saving time by consuming more stamina per run, completing dungeons does not directly yield $BCN tokens; instead, it produces “Shadow Fragments.”
Zero-to-hero (zero-luck) farming is technically feasible—the game store offers a basic chest exchangeable for 1,000 Shadow Fragments—but the resulting token output is negligible, effectively zero.
To earn meaningful tokens, players must convert Shadow Fragments into “Chips” and participate in the “Roulette Game.”

This roulette game resembles a slot machine. Players place bets, predict which segment the countdown will land on, and receive corresponding multipliers based on their accuracy.
You cannot avoid playing it: Chips obtained through conversion are locked. Only by winning in the Roulette Game do they become unlocked, allowing redemption into the primary loot boxes that produce $BCN—“Kraken Chests.”
So let’s summarize the current game mechanics:
- Season 1 is, in essence, a pre-TGE token acquisition race.
- The token acquisition path is: “Dungeon Crawl” → “Shadow Fragments” → “Convert to Chips” → “Play Roulette” → “Redeem Chips for Premium Kraken Chests” → “Open Chests to Claim Tokens Pending TGE.”
- Zero-luck farming is possible but nearly valueless; the project has clearly accounted for this.
- The $19.99 Premium membership acts as a hard barrier: the highest-tier chest, “Premium Kraken Chests,” is exclusive to Premium members.
- Due to the randomness of the roulette game and the variable yield from opening chests, even players spending identical amounts will receive differing token quantities.
- Despite the variance in final token amounts, higher spending always provides a clear advantage.
Once we understand the game mechanics and the true nature of Season 1, we can begin estimating the upcoming $BCN token post-TGE.
We previously explained why the Premium membership is a hard requirement. Therefore, Premium members essentially represent users who believe the game’s token is worth investing in.
According to @ClaeysXBT’s data, as of yesterday, there were 4,333 unique addresses that had activated Premium memberships. The daily trend is shown below:

The in-game web store offers five tiers of bundles priced at $9.99, $19.99, $59.99, $99.99, and $499.99.
Purchasing these bundles grants “Glint,” which most players convert into increased stamina caps to boost daily “Shadow Fragment” and “Chip” output. For example, buying the $499.99 bundle and activating a Premium membership allows a daily stamina cap exceeding 4,000, yielding approximately 150,000 Shadow Fragments—enough to redeem nearly 5,000 chips.
Additionally, every $1 spent on bundles yields roughly 2.33 $BCN (current phase). As total player investment grows, the $BCN received per dollar spent decreases incrementally—previously, it was about 2.67 $BCN per dollar.

Currently, revenue from Premium memberships totals $86,660, while bundle sales generate approximately $378,000, summing up to around $465,000.
From a holistic perspective, Season 1 functions as gamified token fundraising. Bundle sales constitute phased token offerings: although prices remain constant, the direct token allocation per sale diminishes as volume increases. For instance, delaying a $499.99 bundle purchase by one day could mean missing out on 20 premium chests—“Premium Kraken Chests”—in-game.
$BCN total supply: 100 million tokens.

- Season 1 Rewards: 10.2%, 25% released at TGE, remaining portion linearly unlocked over 9 months
- Past Event Rewards: 1%, 15% released at TGE, remaining portion linearly unlocked over 12 months
- NFT Holders: 19%, 15% released at TGE, remaining portion linearly unlocked over 18 months
- Liquidity & Market Making: 7%, fully released at TGE
- Future Community Rewards: 22.3%, not released at TGE
- Team: 15%, not released at TGE, cliff unlock after 24 months, fully unlocked by month 36
- Ecosystem Fund: 25.5%, 15% released at TGE, remaining portion linearly unlocked over 36 months
Open-market circulating supply accounts for 16.375% of total supply. At an opening price of 1U, market cap equals $16.375 million; at 0.5U, it’s $8.1875 million.
The recent surge in The Beacon is largely driven by its built-in roulette mechanic, which players jokingly refer to as a “slot machine.” In active channels, you often see messages like “I hit it!” or complaints about losing.
Going forward, the game plans to evolve into a complete ecosystem featuring slot machines, MMORPG elements (multiplayer dungeon co-op), resource gathering (item enhancement), PvP combat, and even integrate AI components. However, the timeline for these developments remains unclear.

Nevertheless, for a crypto-native blockchain game project to endure for four years—and then reignite market interest four years later—is truly remarkable.
