EMCD launches open-source Pool Worker component compatible with Tether MDK, enabling miners to gain a comprehensive view of their overall operations within a single interface

Hong Kong, October 30, 2026 — Global top-tier Bitcoin mining pool EMCD launches EMCD Pool Worker, an open-source integration that connects the EMCD mining pool to Tether’s Mining Development Kit (MDK, Mining Development Kit), enabling seamless access to EMCD pool data via MDK-compatible infrastructure. Miners and mining farm operators running on MDK-powered infrastructure can now ingest EMCD pool data directly into their existing monitoring hardware and other systems within a unified environment. Pool Worker is now live and available globally at no cost.

Currently, most mining operations run across multiple isolated systems: one for hardware monitoring, another for pool statistics, and a third for infrastructure management. To gain a holistic view, operators must constantly switch between dashboards, APIs, and monitoring tools. EMCD Pool Worker removes the pool from this fragmented setup: EMCD data now flows directly into operators’ MDK environments through the same standardized model used by other MDK-compliant components.

MDK is Tether’s open-source framework designed to enable interoperability across mining infrastructure and prepare for AI-driven automation. On October 24, 2026, Tether announced commitments from mining farm operators, ASIC miners, and mining pools to develop and maintain MDK integrations. Tether aims to release the first stable version, MDK 1.0, by end of 2026. EMCD Pool Worker represents EMCD’s first direct integration into the MDK ecosystem.

How It Works

Key Features

• Direct ingestion of EMCD pool data into MDK. No standalone monitoring environment required for the pool.

• Unified infrastructure visibility. Pool-level metrics are consolidated with hardware and other mining system data in a single interface.

• Open-source. Built on Tether’s publicly available MDK framework, allowing technical teams to audit, deploy, and extend the solution.

• Standardized data access. EMCD data adopts the same schema as other MDK components, minimizing integration effort.

• Zero additional cost. The integration incurs no extra fees beyond standard EMCD pool terms.

Typical users are mining farms operating on EMCD and managing their entire infrastructure via MDK-based systems. With Pool Worker, these farms can track EMCD’s hash rate, miner status, and revenue data within the same view as their mining rigs—eliminating the need for separate pool monitoring.

“EMCD’s focus is building end-to-end technology coverage across the mining lifecycle and delivering real tools that empower operators to manage efficiency,” said Michael Jerlis, CEO of EMCD. “Today, many mining operations resemble a cockpit where every instrument comes from a different vendor—neither humans nor AI agents can see a coherent picture, making optimization impossible. Participating in Tether’s MDK is a pivotal step toward change: operators can now directly use EMCD data within their existing infrastructure.”

Launch & Access

EMCD Pool Worker is now live and available worldwide with no geographical restrictions. No additional activation process is required beyond an existing EMCD mining pool account. Developers and operators can find the integration in the MDK repository on GitHub and follow setup instructions in the MDK documentation. Learn more about MDK: mdk.tether.io.

About EMCD

EMCD is a global provider of cryptocurrency mining pools and infrastructure services. Founded in 2017, EMCD began as an early industrial-scale Bitcoin mining operator in Europe and now serves users worldwide. With over 4% of global hash power and ranked among the top ten pools globally, EMCD remains committed to security, reliability, and transparency.
