View OriginalChainThink report, March 14: Developer Petr Baudis announced that with the official release of Google Chrome 146, users can now expose their current real-time browsing session to an AI Agent via a toggle switch using the Model Context Protocol (MCP), enabling the AI Agent to perform actions directly within the user's logged-in browsing environment.
Baudis also revealed his earlier vision of leveraging the command amp mcp add chrome-devtools -- npx chrome-devtools-mcp@latest --autoConnect to allow Claude to browse and execute tasks on behalf of the user while logged in. With the deployment of Chrome MCP capabilities, this scenario is now gradually becoming a reality.
