ChainThink report, on March 20, ByteDance announced it has reached a final agreement to sell Mouton Technology to Savvy Games Group, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), with the sale price exceeding $6 billion. Mouton Technology is the developer and publisher of the renowned Southeast Asian MOBA mobile game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), acquired by ByteDance in 2021. It is reported that ByteDance has made substantial investments in AI, and its overall profits declined in Q4 2025, making the divestiture of Mouton a clear signal of ByteDance's strategic pivot toward AI focus.
