ChainThink report: On March 22, to assist users in securely utilizing OpenClaw, the National Internet Emergency Response Center of China and the Cybersecurity Association of China jointly released the OpenClaw Security Usage Practice Guide on March 22, offering security protection recommendations for general users, enterprise users, cloud service providers, and technical developers.
Recommendations for general users include: installing OpenClaw on dedicated devices, virtual machines, or containers with proper environment isolation—avoiding installation on daily office computers; refraining from running OpenClaw with administrator or superuser privileges; avoiding storage or processing of sensitive personal data within the OpenClaw environment; and promptly updating to the latest version of OpenClaw.
For cloud service providers, recommendations include conducting foundational security assessments and hardening of cloud hosts; deploying and integrating security defense capabilities; and strengthening supply chain and data security protections.
