ChainThink report: Indonesian authorities convicted three individuals for financing terrorism via cryptocurrency between 2024 and 2025, one of whom transferred over 49,000 USDT across 15 transactions to overseas addresses linked to ISIS-affiliated networks.

The Indonesian Financial Intelligence Agency (PPATK) collaborated with law enforcement agencies, leveraging blockchain forensics to trace transactions and provide critical evidence.

Since 2024, Indonesia has intensified regulatory oversight of cryptocurrency exchanges, mandating compliance with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CFT) regulations.
