ChainThink report, April 28: According to OpenRouter LLM ranking data, Moonshot's flagship model Kimi K2.6 surged to the top of this week’s leaderboard with 1.88T tokens consumed, representing a weekly increase of 7683%.

The model was launched on OpenRouter on April 20 and surpassed the previous top two leaders—Claude Sonnet 4.6 (1.35T) and DeepSeek V3.2 (1.24T)—within one week of deployment.

In this week’s top ten rankings, Anthropic occupies three positions: Claude Sonnet 4.6 ranks second with 1.35T tokens, down 3% week-over-week; Claude Opus 4.7 ranks fourth with 1.17T tokens, emerging as the second-largest growth model this week with nearly a tripling in usage; Claude Opus 4.6 ranks ninth with 662B tokens, down 42% week-over-week.

Models such as Google Gemini 3 Flash Preview, Stepfun Star Step 3.5 Flash, and NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super Free also demonstrated significant growth.

The OpenRouter ranking is based on actual token consumption across models on the platform, reflecting developers’ real-world API invocation preferences in production environments.
