Space AI Infrastructure Company Cowboy Space Completes $275 Million Series B Round Led by Index Ventures

ChainThink report, according to TechCrunch, space AI infrastructure company Cowboy Space Corporation has announced a $275 million Series B funding round, post-money valuation reaching $2 billion.

The round was led by existing investor Index Ventures, with participation from Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Construct Capital, IVP, and SAIC.

The company has previously raised a total of $80 million across earlier rounds, with investors including Index Ventures, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, and New Enterprise Associates.

The company's founder and CEO is Baiju Bhatt, co-founder of online brokerage Robinhood. He launched the company under the name Aetherflux in 2024, initially aiming to develop space-based solar power transmission, later pivoting to the space data center sector and rebranding as Cowboy Space Corporation.

The company plans to integrate data centers into the second stage of rockets, with the first launch expected by end of 2028.
