ChainThink report, citing The New York Post, reveals that prediction market platform Polymarket is investigating whether its main competitor Kalshi has engaged in industrial espionage, having established an internal file named "copycat" documenting over a dozen highly suspicious incidents.

Matthew Modabber, head of markets at Polymarket, stated that Kalshi repeatedly launched features strikingly similar to those Polymarket was about to introduce, with timing too coincidental to be mere coincidence.

The company suspects Kalshi may have been monitoring employees through Paradigm’s office located directly across from Polymarket’s headquarters, even going so far as to install window film on that office.

Specific cases include: Kalshi launching a similar free grocery service days before Polymarket planned to roll out a grocery-related feature; and Kalshi being reported by media outlets with a comparable perpetual contract plan just prior to Polymarket’s announcement.

Kalshi denies all allegations, attributing the similarities to normal competition or coincidence, and counters that Polymarket is copying its own innovations. Polymarket has not yet taken legal action but states it is actively conducting an investigation.
