ChainThink report, June 22: According to a recent semiconductor industry research report by JPMorgan, the AI-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) market is entering a new growth cycle, with Broadcom and Marvell expected to be the primary beneficiaries.

JPMorgan analysts Harlan Sur and Mayur Ramdhani forecast that the digital AI ASIC market will reach approximately $60 billion to $70 billion by 2026, with a compound annual growth rate exceeding 40% to 50% over the next few years.

The report indicates that Broadcom currently holds around 80% to 85% share in the high-end ASIC market, while Marvell holds approximately 10% to 12%.

The report projects that by 2027, unit shipments of AI ASIC/XPU will surpass those of GPUs. Total AI accelerator shipments could reach 23.3 million units, with GPUs accounting for 10.9 million units (47%), and ASIC/XPU reaching 12.5 million units (53%).

JPMorgan also forecasts that Broadcom's AI revenue will grow from approximately $20 billion in fiscal year 2025 to over $60 billion in fiscal year 2026, and further ramp up to exceed $15 billion in fiscal year 2027;

Marvell's data center revenue is projected to increase from about $6.1 billion in 2025 to roughly $9.3 billion in 2026, and reach approximately $14.6 billion by 2027.
