某匿名被告申请驳回此前索赔 3.9 万个休眠比特币地址的诉讼

据 Cointelegraph 报道,一名匿名被告已就 5 月提起的纽约诉讼提出驳回申请。

该案原告 Noah Doe 及两家怀俄明州有限责任公司此前主张对 39,069 个休眠比特币地址的所有权,相关地址合计持有约 370 万枚 BTC,按当前价格计算约值 2340 亿美元。

该被告自称「John Doe 33」,于周四提交出庭通知及驳回动议,称其持有诉讼所列的一个休眠钱包,并主张比特币地址仅是数据字符串,不能作为被诉对象,公开地址本身也不构成纽约遗失财产法下可被「寻回」的对象。

据链上数据,该被告疑似持有一个于 2014 年 4 月收到 5000 枚 BTC、此后 12 年未发生转移的钱包,按当前价格计算价值超过 3 亿美元。

Galaxy Digital 研究主管 Alex Thorn 表示,该申请阻止了原本“近乎必然”的缺席判决,并对原告诉讼中的管辖权及法定缺陷提出挑战。
