Microsoft's in-house AI models accelerate replacement of OpenAI, with GPU costs reduced by up to 89%

ChainThink report, July 24: According to OneMillion_AI, Microsoft has unveiled two in-house AI models—MAI-Image-2.5-Pro and MAI-Voice-2-Flash—for open access.

The former is tailored for high-quality image generation and image editing, while the latter targets customer service and voice agent applications. MAI-Voice-2-Flash delivers twice the speed of the standard version and reduces pricing by 32%.

Microsoft’s proprietary models have already been integrated into Bing, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and Dynamics 365.

Specifically, after implementing these models in PowerPoint, GPU costs are reduced by up to 84% compared to GPT-Image-2; in Dynamics 365, GPU costs are cut by as much as 89%.
