ChainThink report, on July 28, according to Hyperliquid's official response, the pinning incident in the SKHYNIX perpetual contract market was deployed and operated by xyz:SKHYNIX perpetual contracts via the Trade.xyz team. Trade.xyz is currently investigating the current situation and will update once conclusions are reached.

Hyperliquid stated that different teams can deploy and operate markets on Hyperliquid within the HIP-3 market, with Hyperliquid serving as a permissionless blockchain providing the infrastructure layer.

The official further clarified that HIP-3 deployers push their market’s mark price, oracle price, and external perpetual price inputs.

Deployers may adopt a validator-like approach for perpetual contract mark pricing, where the protocol contributes the median of on-chain latest trade prices, best bid, and best ask, while the other two components are pushed by the deployer and influence the final mark price.

As of this report, Hyperliquid’s official personnel have not provided further statements.
