ChainThink report, July 28: According to a leak from Max For AI, the DeepSeek-powered Claude Code variant named "Harness" is set to enter closed beta testing.

Leaked screenshots of the beta recruitment indicate that the DeepSeek Harness program is scheduled to launch its closed beta later this week, with initial users selected from a restricted group chat.

Screenshots reveal that applicants must submit personal information, sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), and obtain product access; any breach of confidentiality will result in disqualification and may jeopardize future opportunities for participation in DeepSeek model or product beta tests and collaborations.

Additionally, according to earlier reports by Beating, the official release of DeepSeek V4 (V4 GA) may be delayed until mid-August.

Following the conclusion of the Harness closed beta, V4 is expected to be opened approximately 1 to 2 weeks later, with a potential release window between August 10 and 20.
