According to market data, on Friday morning pre-market trading on August 7, the semiconductor, memory, and optoelectronics communication sectors all rose in tandem, with Applied Optoelectronics (AAOI) surging 15.5%.

In the semiconductor sector, Lam Research (LRCX) gained 1.22%, Intel (INTC) rose 1.17%, Applied Materials (AMAT) climbed 1.43%, and Arm (ARM) increased 1.77%.

Within the memory segment, SK Hynix (SKHY) advanced 0.21%, Micron Technology (MU) gained 1.28%, Western Digital (WDC) rose 2.1%, SanDisk (SNDK) surged 2.15%, and Seagate Technology (STX) increased 0.94%.

Optoelectronics communication stocks led gains, with Astera Labs (ALAB) up 2.36%, Coherent (COHR) surging 5.07%, Credo (CRDO) rising 2.07%, and Lumentum (LITE) gaining 4.91%.
