Ethlabs Releases Hegotá Upgrade Priority Recommendations: Strengthening Censorship Resistance, Accelerating Block Production, and Native Account Abstraction

ChainThink report, August 17: According to a post by Ethlabs on the X platform, the non-profit Ethereum research laboratory Ethlabs has proposed priority recommendations for Ethereum’s next network upgrade, Hegotá.

Ethlabs has prioritized censorship resistance as the top objective, with EIP-7805 FOCIL confirmed as the leading proposal;

Meanwhile, it recommends incorporating EIP-8198 Quick Slots, which reduces slot time to accelerate confirmation speed and finality.

Additionally, Ethlabs advocates for EIP-8141 Frame Transactions to advance native account abstraction, enabling support for Passkey wallets, ERC20 gas payments, batch transactions, and privacy features;

and suggests leveraging EIP-8131 and EIP-8279 to continuously drive L1 scalability improvements, enhancing capacity and predictability.
