ChainThink 消息，8 月 18 日，据 404 Media 调查，亚马逊正在通过商业渠道购买实体书，拆除装订后扫描页面，用于 AI 训练，随后销毁原书。

调查追踪了一笔约 1000 本书的订单。

404 Media 与一名通过二手及珍稀书籍在线交易平台 Biblio 接单的书商合作，在其中一本书内放置 AirTag，最终追踪至亚马逊位于北拉斯维加斯的 LAS8 仓库。

报道称，该仓库内名为 VGT3 的团队负责扫描书籍。亚马逊发言人向 Inc. 表示，公司通过商业渠道购买书籍，以帮助开发和改进客户使用的产品和服务。

对于购买书籍总量、项目启动时间、扫描内容用于哪些产品，以及销毁前是否筛除珍稀或稀缺版本等问题，亚马逊未作回应。
