ChainThink report, on September 7, Jiang Zhuoer, founder of Bitmain Pool, announced that his previous short position on BTC opened at $82,050 has been closed at $79,480 for profit-taking, reverting to a full long position in ETH spot awaiting further upside.

The rationale provided by Jiang Zhuoer includes: ETH, as the engine of this bull cycle, has recently led gains and is approaching prior highs, potentially driving BTC higher; during periods of sustained net inflows into ETFs (with a record single-day net inflow of $730 million on September 3), only short-term shorts were executed.

If BTC rises into the $83,000–$84,000 range, he will re-initiate short strategies, believing this resistance level will remain unbreachable in the near term.

He also emphasized still awaiting a major pullback; if BTC drops to the $71,255–$73,361 range (Fibonacci 50% to 61.8% retracement levels), he will fully re-enter, otherwise he plans to buy back before the end of October.

Jiang Zhuoer also referenced two prior precise top-timing operations (shorting ETH at $2,525 on August 22, shorting BTC at $82,050 on September 4), asserting that the current trading logic—non-leveraged, all-in long/short positioning—is effective.
