ChainThink news, according to TASS, the Central Bank of Russia has included Sberbank, the Federal Savings Bank of Russia, in the registry of digital currency exchange institutions.

The bank plans to launch its first related products on December 1, offering digital currency circulation services through customers' existing user interfaces. Previously, Sberbank had been added to the registry of digital custody institutions, enabling it to provide record-keeping services for cryptocurrencies and digital rights.

Russian legislation governing digital currencies and digital rights took effect on September 1. Financial institutions and other entities may apply for corresponding licenses with the Central Bank of Russia starting October 5, with certain existing market participants able to obtain licenses within one day via registration filing.
