ChainThink report, October 28: U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent stated at the Ripple Swell conference that the Treasury can collaborate with the SEC and CFTC to advance a comprehensive crypto regulatory framework through coordinated regulatory actions.

He expressed disappointment over Congress's failure to pass the CLARITY Act, calling the SEC and CFTC "excellent partners." Bessent noted that the legislation could have prevented a repeat of debanking events;

even without its passage, establishing regulatory best practices and protective mechanisms can mitigate similar risks going forward. He also emphasized that stablecoins will increase demand for USD and U.S. Treasury securities, positioning them as a significant source of financing for the U.S. Treasury.
