Tokenization services go live, DTCC first supports 34 securities

2026-10-28 19:28

ChainThink news, October 28: According to an official announcement, DTCC's tokenization service is now live, initially supporting 34 securities.

The tokens are backed 1:1 by securities held in DTC custody, granting holders identical legal rights and economic interests as the underlying securities. Traditional market and on-chain use the same CUSIP codes, enabling peer-to-peer transfers between DTC-registered wallets around the clock.

The service incorporates built-in compliance controls, allowing near-real-time tracking of ownership.

Initial wallet and application partners include BitGo, Blockdaemon, Fireblocks, HashKey, Kaleido, Prometheum, Talos, Temple, and Tradeweb.
