DeepSeek Unveils New Agent Architecture

2026-10-31 23:11

ChainThink report, October 31: The DeepSeek Harness team has released a technical article titled "Exploring Super-agent Design: Towards More Autonomous Agent Systems," introducing an Agent architecture tailored for multi-task and team collaboration scenarios.

The team notes that current Agents typically operate as isolated units within a single Session, with distinct Sessions remaining independent, thereby limiting the scale of multi-task coordination.

The new architecture employs a two-tier design, event-driven mechanisms, asynchronous multi-channel communication, compute-storage separation, and external Watchdog supervision, enabling system-level management of sessions and context synchronization. DeepSeek refers to this configuration as a Super-agent.

An internal instance built upon this framework has been continuously operational, participating in issue reproduction and resolution, code review responses, and iterative improvements to the DeepSeek Harness platform itself.
