FLUID surges in short term possibly due to Wintermute's discounted buyback to repay loans

FLUID surges in short term possibly due to Wintermute's discounted buyback to repay loans

2025-11-22 14:39

On-chain analyst @AmirOrmu posted on X platform that FLUID recently surged 50% in a short period, possibly due to Wintermute repurchasing tokens at a discount to repay a loan. Wintermute purchased approximately $500,000 worth of FLUID tokens on-chain at around $4 per token, to repay tokens sold earlier this year at $10 per token. The loan amount was 700,000 FLUID tokens, and it currently holds about 370,000 FLUID on-chain, with at least 350,000 FLUID held on CEXs, which is sufficient to repay the loan. The loan maturity date is expected to be mid-December.
