ChainThink reports that, in preparation for the upcoming FATF (Financial Action Task Force) review, Belarus has established and updated a registry of cryptocurrency wallets designed to track illicit funds. The system aims to identify and manage digital wallets involved in criminal activities, assisting law enforcement agencies in tracing illegal proceeds. According to the national audit agency, the government is advancing a new financial investigation mechanism and has introduced tax and transparency regulations for cryptocurrency asset transactions, reinforcing compliance requirements within the industry. Meanwhile, Belarus is further tightening its crypto regulation: prohibiting individuals from trading cryptocurrencies on foreign exchanges, while actively pushing for the establishment of a unified crypto regulatory framework across the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), to enhance regional regulatory coordination and law enforcement efficiency.
