Coinbase x402 Facilitator will charge a fee of $0.001 per transaction starting January next year, with the first 1,000 transactions per month free of charge
message: Coinbase announced via its Developer Platform account that the Coinbase x402 Facilitator will introduce a minimum fee mechanism starting January 1st next year, with the first 1,000 settlements per month free of charge, followed by a fee of $0.001 per settlement thereafter. Developers will receive their first invoice on February 1st, 2026.
Coinbase stated that x402 has seen rapid growth recently, but Facilitators are currently bearing all transaction Gas fees. Introducing this low-cost fee is intended to ensure service sustainability and continued optimization of functionality.
