ChainThink report, December 20: According to The New York Times, FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried has taken up a new "career" — serving as a legal consultant within prison. SBF is now providing advice to multiple individuals, including former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández and music producer Sean Combs. In an interview, he stated that he assists others in ways that overwhelmed attorneys are unable to manage.

SBF noted that federal defense standards are "shockingly low," emphasizing that he is not replacing lawyers but rather filling a gap where lawyers have "never done much." Many attorneys are overburdened with caseloads and fail to provide adequate attention to their clients.

Currently incarcerated at a California state prison, SBF is simultaneously pursuing an appeal of his case and seeking clemency from the U.S. President.
