ChainThink report, December 25, according to a report by Global Times, the U.S. government announced on the 23rd that it will impose tariffs on Chinese semiconductors in 2027, concluding the trade investigation initiated by the previous Biden administration targeting Chinese semiconductor industry.

U.S. media analysis suggests that although the U.S. government claims China's practices in the semiconductor sector "harm U.S. interests," the final decision will defer additional tariffs on Chinese semiconductors for at least 18 months. Bloomberg stated that delaying new tariffs is the latest signal from the U.S. government aiming to consolidate the U.S.-China "truce" agreement and stabilize bilateral relations.
