ChainThink News, December 26: Trust Wallet official announced that approximately $7 million is affected, and the team will ensure all impacted users receive refunds. Supporting affected users remains the team’s top priority, and they are actively refining the refund process.

Additionally, the team urges users affected by the browser extension v2.68 to take the following steps as soon as possible:

Step 1: Do not open Trust Wallet Browser Extension v2.68 on desktop devices to ensure wallet security and prevent further issues.

Step 2: Open the Chrome Extensions panel in Chrome browser by copying the following into the address bar (official Trust Wallet Browser Extension shortcut): chrome://extensions/?id=egjidjbpglichdcondbcbdnbeeppgdph

Step 3: If the toggle under Trust Wallet is still in the "on" position, switch it to "off".

Step 4: Click the "Developer mode" button in the top-right corner.

Step 5: Click the "Update" button in the top-left corner.

Step 6: Verify the version number is 2.69. This is the latest and secure version.
