ChainThink news: South Korea's largest payment infrastructure provider, BC Card, has partnered with Base to jointly advance a domestic payment pilot based on the USD-pegged stablecoin USDC.
The two parties plan to integrate Coinbase's Base blockchain wallet with BC Card's QR payment system, testing the process of using USDC for merchant payments in South Korea and ultimately settling in Korean won, to assess compliance, interoperability, and real-world feasibility.
